Training
Travelers Safety Academy is designed to inspire and educate. You have access to a range of risk-related training courses that can help your staff enhance their knowledge and ultimately protect your business.
We are an accredited provider of the nationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely course. You can take this course for free although places are limited – visit risk training to register and we will contact you once we schedule it and have spaces. We also provide training on topics including risk assessment, event management, professional negligence and preventing errors in the legal sector and accident investigation – just ask.

You can best protect your business by mitigating the risks that lead to losses. To support your efforts, we created a collection of resources to help our customers manage exposures related to specific industries and topics. To help our customers manage their business risk, we partnered with Cardinus, a leading provider of online e-learning solutions that support health, safety, compliance and wellbeing in organisations. Case study
A residential care setting looked to Travelers following an incident
A residential care setting requested Travelers’ assistance after an incident occurred in one of their premises. The incident involved a new agency staff member entering the supported accommodation area where three service users were present. One of the service users reacted unpredictably and assaulted the member of staff.
Following Travelers’ recommendations, a review of the residential care setting’s safe systems of work resulted in a number of improved practices, including:

Lawrence Webster’s online self-assessment platform is available at a discounted rate to provide Travelers policyholders with the help and resources needed to produce a fire risk assessment.
Marking business assets offers a quick, neat and professional solution to deter theft. Marked property dramatically decreases in value on the second hand market, while the risk to thieves of being caught increases. SelectaDNA is a police-preferred forensic marking solution, which uniquely marks assets and possessions with a synthetic DNA code.
It is ideal for marking and protecting electronic equipment, tools, plant and machinery, vehicles and all types of personal possessions. In police trials, SelectaDNA has reduced burglaries in vulnerable areas by up to 83%,1 offering a cost effective and easy-to-implement way of reducing the risk of theft, robbery and burglary.

It can sometimes be hard to keep up to date with the property market, and so insured property can become underinsured. Through our valuation partner, we can provide access to valuation services, which may be funded by us in certain cases.
Travelers offers the PI wellbeing service through our partner HelloSelf, a third-party provider of wellbeing and counselling support. They are a team of clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists and cognitive behaviourial therapists providing different types of wellbeing support.
This service is included in the policy and is fully confidential. Neither Travelers nor an employer will know who has used the service, and participation will not affect the claim in any way. We encourage all who are eligible to use the service for any issue, seemingly big or small.
