Business questions
These questions will give you a sense of the information needed to write a policy.
- For a property to be insured, Travelers needs to know the full construction information. We’ll ask:
- Are there any composite panels?
- If so, what is the core filling?
- What is the security and access control procedures for the premises?
- What employee support programmes do you provide?
- Is there a current employee training regime?
- What counselling or similar support services do you have in place for employees?
Lets get specific
These are the kinds of detailed questions we will ask to better understand day-to-day operations.
Where a higher money limit or computer sum insured is declared, we’ll need to understand the security of the premises in more detail. We’ll ask for details on alarms and maintenance contracts, as well as any physical security and security patrols.
To insure a property, we’ll ask for full construction information; if there are any composite panels, we’ll need to know the core filling. We’ll also want to understand the security and access control procedures for the premises.
Although office/clerical trades are generally seen as a lower employers’ liability risk, there is still the need to ensure strong levels of staff training, ongoing engagement and staff well-being support.
Some businesses, particularly those in the legal and financial sectors, can be highly pressurised. That’s why it’s important for us to have a good understanding of these operational aspects. This will include questions around ongoing training regimes and counselling, or other similar support services in place.
